JPS Prefects and Leaders

JPS Student Leaders

At JPS, we believe that every student has the potential to lead and make a positive difference. Student leadership is grounded in service, responsibility and respect for self, others and the environment. Through meaningful opportunities, JPS Student Leaders aim to lead with JOY by showing Love, Care and Sharing with others in the school and the community.

Our Student Leaders’ Motto: Love, Care, Share

We show love by making respectful choices and influencing our peers to do the right thing.
We show care by looking out for one another and helping those in need.
We share by respecting the environment, serving our school and giving back to the community.
Student Leaders’ Investiture 2026
The Student Leaders’ Investiture is a key milestone that marks the official appointment of our student leaders. During this ceremony, our appointed student leaders recite their creed and commit to upholding their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

It is a proud moment for both the school and our student leaders as they step forward to lead, serve and inspire others.

A meaningful milestone as our pinnacle leaders are formally appointed in the presence of their families

Signature Leadership Experiences
Kinder Day
Our Primary 4 Prefects supported Kinder Day by guiding the kindergarten pupils, facilitating ice-breaker games, giving them a tour of the school compound and helping them experience a warm and positive introduction to primary school life.

Prefects’ Make A Change Project
As part of the school’s Make a Change efforts, our Primary 5 Prefects initiated and led projects that created a positive impact in the school and the wider community. These are some of the projects that our Prefects were involved in.

From US to You - Foreign Workers Appreciation
Primary 5 Prefects packed and distributed appreciation packs to foreign workers supporting JPS.

Loving Hands Giving Hearts
Another team of Prefects collected groceries and household items for Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre, supporting about 150 needy seniors and families in Jurong.

From One Student To Another: Let's Share
Through a stationery donation drive, our Prefects provided essential learning resources and exam-ready kits for our students in need.

Your Waste Your Responsibility
In support of National Environment Agency’s Project E.C.O., a team of Primary 5 Prefects championed environment responsibility by raising awareness among their peers through a comic strip and poster design competition, promoting a cleaner and litter-free school environment.
Student Leaders’ Day Camp – Leadership Training By Leaders
Aptly named Leadership Training by Leaders, the day camp saw our Primary 6 Prefects take on the role of planners and facilitators, designing and leading activities that allowed them to apply their leadership skills while guiding their juniors. Working closely with the Prefect EXCO, they strengthened their leadership capacity through the planning, organisation and execution of meaningful camp experiences, giving back through leadership in action.

Through these varied experiences, our student leaders continue to grow in character and confidence. Together, we nurture them into leaders who lead with heart, serve with purpose and make a positive difference in our school and community.
